Olio Restaurant runs on the classic hospitality reality: a busy floor, a demanding kitchen, and margins that live or die on tight control of cost and stock. The food was never in question — but the systems tying sales, inventory, and accounting together needed to catch up with the pace of service.
The challenge
In a restaurant, the point-of-sale, the storeroom, and the books are deeply connected in reality but often disconnected in practice. Sales were recorded in one place, stock counted in another, and accounting reconciled separately — which made it hard to answer basic but vital questions: What is our real food cost? Which items actually make money? Where is stock quietly leaking? Manual reconciliation ate into time that should have been spent running the business.
What we did
LabeedX implemented a connected Odoo setup built around how a restaurant works:
- Point-of-sale linked to inventory, so each sale draws down stock automatically and the storeroom picture stays accurate.
- Integrated accounting that turns daily takings into clean, VAT-ready records without manual re-entry.
- Cost and sales visibility so the team can see item-level performance and keep food cost under control.
- Practical training for floor and management staff, so the system supports service instead of slowing it down.
The result
Olio now operates from one connected system. Sales, stock, and accounts move together, daily reconciliation is quick and reliable, and management finally has a clear line of sight on cost and profitability. The back office keeps pace with the dining room — instead of catching up after closing.
Hospitality runs on margins, and margins run on control. LabeedX helps restaurants and SMEs across Oman and the GCC connect their operations into a single system — on the ground or fully remote.
